We are pleased to announce our upcoming webinar organised in collaboration with the IUFRO task force on Stand Complexity in Planted Forests, the EFI Research Network on Planted Forests and with the support of Gobierno Vasco Spain, Region Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Forest Research (UK).
This webinar will explore Maritime Pine and Pine Wood Nematode in South-West Europe: status and challenges. Pine wood nematode is a damaging agent that can affect most of the European conifers. It arrived in 1999 in Portugal and started to be found in Spain in 2008. Since October 2025, it has been detected in France. The eradication procedure is ongoing. This webinar will be an unique opportunity to discuss about the status of maritime pine resource and health in South-West Europe. Discover how the threat evolves and what science can do. As usual, this webinar will allow you to interact with the speakers, questioning them on theses issues in an informal way, do not hesitate to join!
