This guide has been designed for foresters in southern Europe by a group of French, Spanish and Portuguese experts. It contains removable, richly illustrated fact sheets on each of the main insects and fungi affecting the five most common tree species in our regions: pine, oak, poplar, eucalyptus and chestnut. Each sheet provides practical information on how to identify the insect or pathogenic fungus, learn about the damage it causes, review the risk factors and suggest control methods. The guide also lists the plant protection products authorised for use in forests and provides addresses of specialists to consult.
