We are pleased to announce our upcoming webinar organised in collaboration with the IUFRO task force on Stand Complexity in Planted Forests, the EFI Research Network on Planted Forests and with the technical cooperation of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

This session is dedicated to Douglas fir health: insights from Europe. Douglas fir is an important component of European wood resource, especially in France (more than 400 000ha) and Germany (more than 200 000ha). With climate change and spruce dieback, it is considered more and more as a relevant alternative. Before expendaing its range in Europe, some concerned are raised in some countries reporting health issues. This event will provide an overview of the potential biotic risks and health status of this commonly planted species. As usual this webinar will be an unique opportunity to interact with speakers questioning them on theses issues in an informal way, do not hesitate to join!

The Let’s Talk About Planted Forests webinar will take place on 28 November 2025 at 2:00 PM CET (Paris time).
