The next Let’s Talk About Planted Forests webinar will take place on 5 December 2024 at 7.30 am CET (Paris time).
The French and New Zealand forestry sectors face similar challenges, including adapting to climate change and managing invasive pests. With high-quality research and innovation capabilities, and industries committed to addressing challenges of the future, France and New Zealand are well placed to develop collaborative responses.
Targeting the French and New Zealand forestry industries and institutions, this webinar, organised by the Embassy of France to New Zealand and by Scion, aims at taking stock of research, innovation and operational solutions to address climate change and biosecurity issues in forestry, and foster further collaboration, development and adoption of these solutions.
This event will take place on December 5th, 2024, from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM (France) // 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM (New Zealand) and be accessible online or in-person at the SCION Institute (Te Papa Tipu Innovation Park, Titokorangi Drive, Rotorua).
The webinar will run in English as follows, featuring various speakers (to be announced):
- General overview of the forestry sector in France and in New Zealand
- Innovations for management of invasive pests and pathogens
- Innovations for adaptation to climate change.
