Na quarta-feira, 7 de Dezembro de 2022, o IEFC, em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com a AgroParisTech Nancy<\/a> e a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o IFSA FRANCE<\/a>, organizou uma noite de debate sobre as ferramentas cient\u00edficas participativas para as florestas (Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o, Quest\u00f5es & Desafios para o Futuro), como parte do projecto Virtual Forests<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como definimos as ci\u00eancias participativas: As ci\u00eancias participativas (por vezes denominadas “ci\u00eancias do cidad\u00e3o” ou “ci\u00eancias colaborativas”) s\u00e3o “formas de recolha de conhecimento cient\u00edfico, em que os interessados n\u00e3o cient\u00edfico-profissionais – sejam indiv\u00edduos ou grupos – participam activa e deliberadamente”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A noite de interc\u00e2mbios iniciou-se com um discurso de boas-vindas de Myriam Legay, Directora da escola AgroParisTech Nancy, que salientou o paradoxo em que a nossa sociedade vive actualmente: sociedades cuja actividade di\u00e1ria se baseia cada vez mais em novas ci\u00eancias, e sociedades em que todos t\u00eam acesso a informa\u00e7\u00e3o, que aumenta dez vezes de ano para ano. Paralelamente, existe uma desconfian\u00e7a crescente em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 ci\u00eancia, em conex\u00e3o com a crise da Covid. Face a este paradoxo, a abertura da ci\u00eancia \u00e0 sociedade tornou-se uma necessidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seguiu-se Suzanne Afanou, Oficial de Comunica\u00e7\u00e3o do IEFC, com uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o sobre o IEFC e o Projecto Virtual Forests<\/a>. Beno\u00eet De Guerry, da mesma Institui\u00e7\u00e3o, apresentou a ferramenta Silvalert<\/a>. Consiste num website e uma aplica\u00e7\u00e3o para smartphone, que visa recolher informa\u00e7\u00e3o sobre os danos observados nas florestas. Cada utilizador registado pode reportar os danos observados no local, fotografando-os, capturando a geo-localiza\u00e7\u00e3o, e enviando para o servidor. A apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o de Beno\u00eet cativou os participantes e levou a numerosos interc\u00e2mbios durante a sess\u00e3o de perguntas e respostas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ap\u00f3s esta apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o, Ang\u00e9lique Daubercies, respons\u00e1vel pelo Observat\u00f3rio da Biodiversidade, apresentou-nos o Observat\u00f3rio da Biodiversidade Florestal<\/a>, um programa nacional de ci\u00eancia participativa aberto a todos, que foi lan\u00e7ado em 2014 e relan\u00e7ado em 2021! Em parceria com o Invent\u00e1rio Nacional do Patrim\u00f3nio Natural (INPN), visa identificar a presen\u00e7a de esp\u00e9cies espec\u00edficas nas florestas metropolitanas Francesas. As trocas foram tamb\u00e9m numerosas e enriquecedoras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A noite de interc\u00e2mbios terminou com o feedback do INRAE e dos investigadores do programa CiTIQUE<\/a>, um programa de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o participativa, para melhor compreender a ecologia das carra\u00e7as e as doen\u00e7as que elas transmitem. Conseguimos elucidar os principais desafios para o futuro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haver\u00e1 ainda terreno a cobrir no futuro? Como \u00e9 que gerimos os dados recolhidos? Necessitamos de partilhar todos os dados recolhidos? Como \u00e9 que comunicamos eficazmente com os participantes e constru\u00edmos a sua lealdade? Todas estas quest\u00f5es e muitas outras foram abordadas durante as apresenta\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
