Imagine uma noite em que partilhar\u00e1 uma sala com um elefante africano, uma fam\u00edlia de lobos ou abetardas entre muitos outros animais. Uma noite para falar com investigadores que lhe dir\u00e3o porque \u00e9 que eles s\u00e3o apaixonados pelo seu trabalho e em que \u00e9 que este consiste exatamente. Tudo isto \u00e9 o que acontece todos os anos durante a Noite Europeia dos Investigadores no Museu Nacional de Ci\u00eancias Naturais (MNCN-CSIC).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">O Evento tem tanto sucesso que todos os anos os bilhetes, que s\u00e3o gratuitos, se esgotam no primeiro minuto ap\u00f3s serem postos \u00e0 venda. Esta \u00e9 a pior parte do evento, saber que n\u00e3o podemos acomodar todas as pessoas que est\u00e3o interessadas em participar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Este ano, entre as 16 atividades educativas que mostram os trabalhos de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o e conserva\u00e7\u00e3o que s\u00e3o realizados neste museu de hist\u00f3ria natural, tivemos a presen\u00e7a de Andr\u00e9s Bravo e Elena Concepci\u00f3n. Ambos fazem parte do projeto europeu COMFOR-SUDOE (COMplex Forests in the SOUTH-WEST of Europe). Um projeto de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o Institut Europ\u00e9en de la For\u00eat Cultiv\u00e9e (IEFC), entre outras institui\u00e7\u00f5es, cujo objetivo \u00e9 promover florestas complexas (mistas e irregulares) e planta\u00e7\u00f5es multiespec\u00edficas como estrat\u00e9gia para mitigar os efeitos das altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas e a crise da biodiversidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Uma das partes mais importantes do projeto \u00e9 estabelecer o di\u00e1logo entre a sociedade, o mundo cient\u00edfico, e os gestores pol\u00edticos para melhorar o conhecimento das florestas; ajudar todos a compreender o seu valor e fomentar uma gest\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel baseada em informa\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Para alertar os mais jovens da sua import\u00e2ncia, durante a noite europeia dos investigadores, Andr\u00e9s e Elena explicaram aos participantes como as florestas contribuem para o nosso bem-estar; o que \u00e9 que faz das \u00e1rvores um abrigo para tantas esp\u00e9cies; ou porque \u00e9 que uma floresta mista resiste melhor aos dist\u00farbios ambientais.
