Na primeira semana de Maio, a Rep\u00fablica da Coreia acolheu o XV Congresso Florestal Mundial, a confer\u00eancia mais influente no sector florestal, servindo como plataforma global para os membros da comunidade internacional se reunirem e emitirem recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es e declara\u00e7\u00f5es sobre as principais quest\u00f5es florestais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

O tema do XV Congresso Florestal Mundial foi “Construir um Futuro Verde, Saud\u00e1vel e Resiliente com as Florestas”. Pela primeira vez, o congresso foi realizado num formato h\u00edbrido, dando aos participantes de todo o mundo a oportunidade de discutir como as florestas podem ajudar a abordar e adaptar-se \u00e0s altera\u00e7\u00f5es clim\u00e1ticas, combater a desertifica\u00e7\u00e3o, preservar a biodiversidade, e resolver outras quest\u00f5es ambientais globais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ib\u00e1 lan\u00e7a o seu “Relat\u00f3rio sobre a Biodiversidade na Ind\u00fastria das \u00c1rvores Plantadas”.<\/u><\/strong><\/u><\/strong><\/u><\/strong><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Durante o XV Congresso Florestal Mundial, realizado na Coreia do Sul entre 2 e 6 de Maio, a Ind\u00fastria Brasileira de \u00c1rvore (Ib\u00e1) lan\u00e7ou o Relat\u00f3rio de Biodiversidade na Ind\u00fastria de \u00c1rvores Plantadas 2022<\/a>, um estudo sem precedentes que resumiu um trabalho meticuloso e determinado envolvendo 500 mil dados por parte das empresas membros do Ib\u00e1. Para este relat\u00f3rio, 23 empresas associadas partilharam os seus dados de monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o abrangendo 12 estados brasileiros e mais de 220 munic\u00edpios em cinco biomas, como por exemplo: “Mata Atl\u00e2ntica”, “Cerrado”, “Pampa”, “Amaz\u00f4nia” e “Caatinga”. Alguns dados datam de 1970, o que torna o relat\u00f3rio uma fonte de informa\u00e7\u00e3o rica e essencial para compreender as contribui\u00e7\u00f5es do sector florestal brasileiro para a manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da biodiversidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para al\u00e9m de uma vis\u00e3o geral da biodiversidade do sector, o relat\u00f3rio fornece informa\u00e7\u00e3o sobre o grupo sectorial da fauna e flora, monitoriza\u00e7\u00e3o, animais representativos do sector, informa\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a\u00e7\u00f5es de restauro florestal, servi\u00e7os dos ecossistemas, polinizadores e hist\u00f3rias de sucesso da ind\u00fastria das \u00e1rvores plantadas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Patr\u00edcia Machado, Gestora de Bioeconomia e Assuntos Florestais do Ib\u00e1, foi um dos oradores no evento paralelo “A biosseguran\u00e7a florestal como responsabilidade: uma vis\u00e3o global”, organizado pela FAO, USDA, e ACoFo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Patr\u00edcia partilhou com a audi\u00eancia como o Ib\u00e1 tem trabalhado em coopera\u00e7\u00e3o com institutos de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o, governo, e diferentes partes interessadas na agenda da prote\u00e7\u00e3o florestal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este evento paralelo reuniu outros peritos do Governo da Nova Zel\u00e2ndia, investigadores de universidades da Austr\u00e1lia e do Gana, bem como representantes da FAO e da IPPC (Conven\u00e7\u00e3o Fitossanit\u00e1ria Internacional).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A FAO, juntamente com parceiros, tem como objetivo desenvolver e implementar um quadro dirigido aos decisores pol\u00edticos e reguladores para discutir estrat\u00e9gias que visem aumentar a sensibiliza\u00e7\u00e3o e envolver o p\u00fablico na biosseguran\u00e7a florestal. Isto facilitar\u00e1 o estabelecimento de um enquadramento coordenado no que respeita a bioseguran\u00e7a florestal \u00e0 escala global para integrar os cidad\u00e3os do mundo na luta contra as esp\u00e9cies florestais invasoras.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
