Workshop organized by FAO, TreeDivNet, and the International Commission on Poplars and Other Fast-Growing Trees Sustaining People and the Environment.<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop will be attended by the TreeDivNet<\/span> members, who are going to share the results of their <\/span>experiments, interested members of the IPC, and representatives of the countries, international <\/span>organizations, and scientific organizations and networks.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You are cordially invited to participate online in the workshop on \u201cManagement of mixed and pure planted forests: Stock-taking of science and practice<\/strong>\u201d 29-30 September 2022. This workshop, which is jointly organized by the<\/span> FAO Forestry Division<\/a>, TreeDivNet<\/a> (with its projects<\/span> MixForChange<\/a> and<\/span> CAMBIO<\/a>), and the<\/span> International Commission on Poplars and Other Fast-Growing Trees Sustaining People and the Environment (IPC)<\/a>, will take place in Rome. The purpose of the workshop is to review the state of the art in the management of mixed versus pure planted forests, to identify research and implementation challenges, share good practice examples, and discuss effective ways to take them to scale in the context of the different management objectives. To facilitate information exchange and discussion with the wider community of research and practice, the workshop will be open to additional online participants from selected projects and networks to follow the streaming and interact through the chat.<\/span><\/p>\n
