Dr. Antoine Kremer a re\u00e7u le prix Marcus Wallenberg 2006 pour ses travaux novateurs relatifs \u00e0 l\u0092\u00e9volution, l’organisation et la distribution de la diversit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des ch\u00eanes Paneurop\u00e9en.
\nLa partie innovante de ce travail repose sur l’utilisation combin\u00e9e des connaissances nouvelles issues de plusieurs sciences (de la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique mol\u00e9culaire \u00e0 l’histoire de l’\u00e9volution des for\u00eats) permettant d’appr\u00e9hender la connaissance g\u00e9n\u00e9tique des ch\u00eanes \u00e0 l’\u00e9chelle continentale; Cette \u00e9tude servira de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence majeure pour am\u00e9liorer la conservation et la gestion des for\u00eats \u00e0 l\u0092\u00e9chelle europ\u00e9enne. Il permettra aussi la pr\u00e9diction d\u0092am\u00e9liorer la pr\u00e9diction des perturbation induites par les changements climatiques et environnementaux.
\nLes travaux d\u0092Antoine Kremer peuvent \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9s \u00e0 d\u0092autres esp\u00e8ces foresti\u00e8res, y compris des conif\u00e8res indig\u00e8nes de for\u00eats industrielles comme celles du Nord de la Russie (NDLR : et d\u0092Aquitaine). Ces techniques seront aussi pertinentes pour l\u0092introduction, la gestion, l\u0092am\u00e9lioration et l\u0092usage des esp\u00e8ces exotiques.
\nDr. Kremer travaille depuis plus de vingt ans \u00e0 l\u0092Institut National de Recherche Agronomique fran\u00e7ais (INRA). Il est aussi connect\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u0092EFI en tant que membre de son Comit\u00e9 Consultatif Scientifique.
\nLe prix sera remis le 28 septembre 2006 \u00e0 Stockholm, Su\u00e8de. La c\u00e9r\u00e9monie sera suivie d\u0092un symposium, le 29 septembre, sur le sujet \u00e0 l\u0092honneur, suivi de commentaires sur l\u0092impact de ces travaux sur le secteur forestier et industriel.
