Ce projet vise \u00e0 identifier les esp\u00e8ces d&rsquo;arbres europ\u00e9ens qui offrent une capacit\u00e9 optimale de s\u00e9questration du carbone dans le sol, une croissance rapide des arbres et une adaptation au changement climatique. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au sein du projet, un work package est sp\u00e9cifiquement d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0\nl&rsquo;\u00e9tude des relations qui lient les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s des esp\u00e8ces (appel\u00e9es traits\nfonctionnels) impliqu\u00e9es dans la r\u00e9gulation de la croissance des arbres aux\nconditions environnementales dans lesquelles ils se d\u00e9veloppent. En effet, si\nl&rsquo;identit\u00e9 des traits fonctionnels qui contr\u00f4lent la croissance est\nrelativement bien connue (par exemple, la surface foliaire sp\u00e9cifique ou la\ndensit\u00e9 du bois xyl\u00e9mique), la mani\u00e8re dont leur importance varie en fonction\ndu climat et de la fertilit\u00e9 du sol n&rsquo;est pas bien comprise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afin d&rsquo;\u00e9lucider cette question, des donn\u00e9es provenant de plusieurs\nr\u00e9seaux de sites exp\u00e9rimentaux en Europe et en Am\u00e9rique du Nord sont utilis\u00e9es.\nEn particulier, un stage de Master est bas\u00e9 sur le r\u00e9seau exp\u00e9rimental\nREINFFORCE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours du stage, une premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape consistera \u00e0 visiter plusieurs arboretums (<a href=\"https:\/\/reinfforce.iefc.net\/arboreta\/ar13\/\"><strong>AR13<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>et, dans une moindre mesure, <a href=\"https:\/\/reinfforce.iefc.net\/arboreta\/ar14\"><strong>AR14<\/strong><\/a><strong> <\/strong>et <a href=\"https:\/\/reinfforce.iefc.net\/arboreta\/ar16\/\"><strong>AR16<\/strong><\/a>) pour collecter des \u00e9chantillons d&rsquo;arbres (feuillage, branches, racines) de 23 esp\u00e8ces(*). Ces \u00e9chantillons serviront \u00e0 caract\u00e9riser les traits fonctionnels des esp\u00e8ces, et \u00e0 \u00e9tudier la plasticit\u00e9 de ces traits pour s&rsquo;adapter aux diff\u00e9rentes conditions de site. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans un deuxi\u00e8me temps, les donn\u00e9es de croissance de l&rsquo;ensemble du\nr\u00e9seau exp\u00e9rimental seront crois\u00e9es avec les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de chaque arboretum\n(climat, sol).
