Depuis 2010, on observe une reprise de l’exploitation des r\u00e9sineux en Espagne, au Portugal et dans le sud-ouest de la France. Cette op\u00e9ration permet la r\u00e9colte d’une ol\u00e9or\u00e9sine riche en mol\u00e9cules de la famille des terp\u00e8nes et des polyph\u00e9nols ainsi que d’un acide r\u00e9sineux qui sont s\u00e9cr\u00e9t\u00e9s lors de la cicatrisation. Elle contient notamment de la t\u00e9r\u00e9benthine, des alpha et b\u00eata-pin\u00e8nes et de la colophane. Ces compos\u00e9s pr\u00e9sentent un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour divers domaines industriels, tels que les cosm\u00e9tiques, les m\u00e9dicaments, la sant\u00e9, les compl\u00e9ments alimentaires, les peintures, les carburants, et offrent une alternative \u00e0 plusieurs mol\u00e9cules d’origine p\u00e9troli\u00e8re. Relancer une activit\u00e9 d’exploitation est donc un levier int\u00e9ressant \u00e0 la fois pour fournir \u00e0 la chimie du v\u00e9g\u00e9tal des biomol\u00e9cules d’int\u00e9r\u00eat et pour apporter une valeur ajout\u00e9e \u00e0 la fili\u00e8re for\u00eat-bois. Cependant, si plusieurs esp\u00e8ces de conif\u00e8res largement r\u00e9pandues dans l’Est de la France fournissaient autrefois des t\u00e9r\u00e9benthines particuli\u00e8res, la relance de l’exploitation n’a pas encore atteint cette r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n

Laur\u00e9at de l’appel \u00e0 projets Mirabelle+ 2018 de l’Universit\u00e9 d’excellence de Lorraine, le projet Gemm_Est vise \u00e0 promouvoir l’exploitation des esp\u00e8ces de l’Est de la France afin de diversifier l’approvisionnement en biomol\u00e9cules foresti\u00e8res. Pour atteindre son objectif, il entend fournir en deux ans les connaissances scientifiques et techniques pr\u00e9liminaires pour r\u00e9aliser une premi\u00e8re \u00e9valuation de l’int\u00e9r\u00eat de relancer cette pratique dans la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n

Gemm_Est pr\u00e9voit d’\u00e9tudier la production de r\u00e9sine de cinq esp\u00e8ces de r\u00e9sineux : le sapin (Abies alba ), le pin sylvestre (Pinus silvetris ), l’\u00e9pic\u00e9a (Picea abies ), le Douglas (Pseudotsuga menziesii ) et le m\u00e9l\u00e8ze (Larix decidua et hybrides ), et dans un deuxi\u00e8me temps, de se concentrer uniquement sur les esp\u00e8ces les plus int\u00e9ressantes en termes de qualit\u00e9 et de quantit\u00e9 de r\u00e9sine produite. La technique d’exploitation d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Holiste, dans le cadre du projet BIOGEMME, sera utilis\u00e9e. La technique consiste \u00e0 faire de petites cicatrices, en \u00e9vitant l’acide sulfurique, couramment utilis\u00e9 pour retarder la cicatrisation, respectant ainsi la sant\u00e9 des tailleurs, des arbres et de l’environnement.<\/p>\n

Pour atteindre ses objectifs, le projet Gemm_Est r\u00e9unit 6 laboratoires et institutions de recherche, un comit\u00e9 consultatif compos\u00e9 d’acteurs de la fili\u00e8re for\u00eat-bois ainsi que des experts en r\u00e9sine.<\/p>\n
