SUMMARY:SUPERB Restoration Project Festival 
DESCRIPTION:In the context of SUPERB – a Horizon 2020 research and innovation project on upscaling forest restoration in Europe\, we would like to invite you to join us online for the SUPERB Restoration Project Festival\, as a forestry expert.   \n\n\n\nFestival dates and location:   \n\n\n\n20-22 November 2023 (Monday-Wednesday) CET\, Milan (Italy) and online; you are welcome to attend the full online programme or to register for sessions of interest.   \n\n\n\nSUPERB is a project launched by the Europe Commission and led by the European Forest Institute (EFI). The SUPERB Restoration Project Festival will be the opportunity for European forest restoration specialists to come together to:  \n\n\n\n-Contribute to forging a common pool of effective forest restoration solutions and making them available across Europe. \n\n\n\n-Hear from innovative approaches and initiatives in this field.  \n\n\n\n-Join a growing network for knowledge sharing and cooperation for forest restoration practitioners that is being built by SUPERB.  \n\n\n\nYour expertise and experience would be invaluable for the festival. During the event\, you will be able to make your input together with representatives of around 40 other European forest restoration initiatives. You will also be invited to join the SUPERB LinkedIn group that will be created for the festival’s participants to continue their collaboration.  Most of the festival’s sessions are hybrid\, and the highlights include:  \n\n\n\n-Kick-off keynote on success stories of innovative funding and long-term-continuity\, with speakers from the FAGUS Life+ project and the Forest Biodiversity Programme METSO.  \n\n\n\n-« Jam sessions » in small groups for sharing restoration best practices and drawing common insights and ideas on key topics for forest restoration\, with a related plenary.  \n\n\n\n-Presentation with Q&A by the Mediterranean Model Forest Network (MMFN)on forging partnerships and knowledge exchange in sustainable forest management.   \n\n\n\nYou can explore the different sessions in the agenda attached.  \n\n\n\nTo participate\, please register for the sessions of your choice using this form\, by Monday 6 November.   \n\n\n\nAGENDA
