A <a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.gouv.fr\/plan-france-relance-le-renouvellement-forestier-est-lance\">call for expressions of interest<\/a> has been launched for reforestation\naimed at economic operators in the upstream forestry sector of the forest-wood\nindustry. Aid will be granted for the adaptation of vulnerable forests to\nclimate change, for stands considered as poor or to be transformed, and forests\ndeclining due to bark beetles or other health issues. The diversification of\nspecies, seen as a principle for controlling the risks associated with climate\nchange, is set as a condition for access to aid with a percentage of species diversification\nof at least 20% within a minimum area of 10ha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The plan\nincludes the preservation of jobs in rural areas: forestry companies, forestry\ncooperatives, forestry experts, wood transporters, forest nurseries, sawmills,\nenergy, wood construction, etc. The confirmation of the role of forests in the\nchallenge of climate change should increase the attractiveness of forestry\nprofessions.
