El 16 de septiembre de 2016 se celebr\u00f3 en Praga la conferencia anual del EFI<\/a> (European Forest Institute), una organizaci\u00f3n internacional formada por 36 Estados que han ratificado el convenio y con presencia institucional en Bruselas, adem\u00e1s de sedes en varias ciudades y pa\u00edses: Joensuu, Bonn, Barcelona, Roma y Kuala Lumpur.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

De 2009 a 2019, los socios del IEFC mantuvieron operativa la oficina regional del EFI, con sede en Burdeos, dedicada a los bosques plantados. En 2020, tras el cierre de esta oficina regional, el IEFC incorpor\u00f3 personal para mantener un v\u00ednculo que permitiera continuar las comunicaciones  y el trabajo compartido en algunas de las acciones, como la publicaci\u00f3n de hojas informativas<\/a> y la organizaci\u00f3n de seminarios web \u00abLet\u2019s Talk About Planted Forests<\/a>\u00bb (Hablemos de los bosques plantados). El IEFC lleva a cabo estas iniciativas en el marco de la red de investigaci\u00f3n del EFI sobre bosques plantados.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Adem\u00e1s, estos seminarios web tambi\u00e9n se llevan a cabo en el marco del Grupo de Trabajo de la IUFRO, seleccionado en la primavera de 2025 entre 25 candidaturas (uno de los 12 elegidos): \u00abComplejidad de las poblaciones en las plantaciones forestales: Aprovechar la complejidad de las poblaciones para mejorar la resiliencia de las plantaciones monoespec\u00edficas y mixtas, en beneficio de la naturaleza, el clima y las personas\u00bb. Este Grupo de Trabajo est\u00e1 compuesto por unas cuarenta personas voluntarias de todos los continentes. La IUFRO (Uni\u00f3n Internacional de Organizaciones de Investigaci\u00f3n Forestal) es una de las organizaciones m\u00e1s antiguas dedicadas a la cooperaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica forestal entre universidades y organismos de investigaci\u00f3n. Desde 2019, se ha abierto a la cooperaci\u00f3n con otros actores para tratar temas transversales a trav\u00e9s de grupos de trabajo que incluyen a actores de la sociedad civil, adem\u00e1s de investigadores de las distintas  divisiones de la IUFRO.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

La Task Force 47<\/a> re\u00fane a unas cuarenta personas implicadas en los bosques plantados en todo el mundo. Aunque la IEFC participa como entidad, este grupo de trabajo est\u00e1 abierto a cualquier persona f\u00edsica que desee comprometerse con la resiliencia y la gesti\u00f3n de los bosques plantados en el mundo. Adem\u00e1s, el grupo publica documentos y organiza eventos, entre ellos el Congreso Internacional de Bosques Plantados, que se celebra cada cinco a\u00f1os. La \u00faltima edici\u00f3n<\/a> tuvo lugar en Kenia en 2023, y la pr\u00f3xima se celebrar\u00e1 en 2028 en Norteam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Un socio clave de este grupo de trabajo es la FAO (Organizaci\u00f3n de las Naciones Unidas para la Alimentaci\u00f3n y la Agricultura), que, tras haber contado con el apoyo del IEFC para la organizaci\u00f3n de la 27.\u00aa sesi\u00f3n de la IPC<\/a> (Comisi\u00f3n Internacional sobre \u00c1lamos y Otros \u00c1rboles de R\u00e1pido Crecimiento que Sustentan a las Personas y el Medio Ambiente), vuelve a solicitar al instituto que actualice la estrategia de la IPC en 2026.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

El IEFC es miembro de la red europea de asesores forestales FOREXT, coordinada por la EFI y por los organismos encargados de promover la gesti\u00f3n entre los propietarios forestales, como el CNPF en Francia. El objetivo del IEFC es transmitir algunos mensajes sobre los bosques plantados en un contexto de auge de la gesti\u00f3n de cubierta continua.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

El IEFC tambi\u00e9n forma parte de la red de territorios resin\u00edferos de Europa<\/a>, coordinada por CESEFOR, que contribuye a compartir informaci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica y econ\u00f3mica sobre la recolecci\u00f3n de resina en Europa. En particular, esta red ha permitido elaborar la nota de s\u00edntesis sobre la evoluci\u00f3n del mercado de la resina<\/a>, as\u00ed como el p\u00f3ster sobre los productos resin\u00edferos.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Adem\u00e1s, el IEFC participa activamente en redes de \u00e1mbito nacional y se implica en las tem\u00e1ticas de sus miembros, como el RMT AFORCE<\/a> para la adaptaci\u00f3n de los bosques al cambio clim\u00e1tico. El IEFC apoya los encuentros internacionales del GEFF<\/a> (Grupo de Entom\u00f3logos Forestales Franc\u00f3fonos), la interprofesional FRANCE DOUGLAS sobre el douglas, PROPOPULUS, la red europea para el \u00e1lamo, etc.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
