El a\u00f1o 2025 fue el cuarto peor a\u00f1o desde 2001 en t\u00e9rminos de superficie quemada en Portugal, el peor de la historia en Espa\u00f1a y en Francia, el a\u00f1o que confirm\u00f3 la llegada del nematodo del pino (<em>Bursaphelenchus xylophilus<\/em>). El IEFC ha seguido de cerca a las crecientes amenazas a las que se enfrentan los bosques plantados. El IEFC tambi\u00e9n ha contribuido activamente a la producci\u00f3n y difusi\u00f3n de conocimientos como socio en proyectos de investigaci\u00f3n como FIRE-RES, centrados en la gesti\u00f3n de incendios forestales extremos, o HOMED y FORSAID, orientados al desarrollo de soluciones pr\u00e1cticas para la gesti\u00f3n de amenazas bi\u00f3ticas emergentes, tanto aut\u00f3ctonas como no aut\u00f3ctonas, incluido el uso de tecnolog\u00edas digitales innovadoras para su detecci\u00f3n temprana.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-e022f89a6bf23c72009f5dad09f09912\">Desde 2002, la red del IEFC viene proporcionando un flujo continuo de informaci\u00f3n sobre estos temas. Como conclusi\u00f3n de la Asamblea General de 2025, celebrada en el Pa\u00eds Vasco, el IEFC, con el apoyo de las regiones, pondr\u00e1 en marcha una p\u00e1gina web titulada \u00ab<strong>Observatorio de la salud de los bosques plantados<\/strong>\u00bb, que recopilar\u00e1 informaci\u00f3n sobre las principales amenazas bi\u00f3ticas para los bosques, empezando por el nematodo de la madera del pino y la plaga de la aguja que afecta a las plantaciones de pino. Este sitio web contendr\u00e1 resultados cient\u00edficos, textos normativos y enlaces a otras fuentes de informaci\u00f3n \u00fatil. La importancia de esta amenaza llev\u00f3 a elegir la sanidad forestal como tema inaugural del primer seminario web de 2026, \u00ab<a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantedforests.org\/iefc-webinars-replays-lets-talk-about-planted-forests\/\">Hablemos de los bosques plantados<\/a>\u00bb, dedicado a la aparici\u00f3n de <em>Bursaphelenchus<\/em> en Aquitania. Dado que estas amenazas no se detienen en las fronteras, resulta esencial reforzar la gesti\u00f3n forestal transfronteriza y las oportunidades de trabajo en red. Aprovechamos para invitarle a la pr\u00f3xima Asamblea General, que se celebrar\u00e1 en Le Mans, Francia (a una hora de Par\u00eds en tren), el 30 de junio de 2026, y a participar en el nombramiento de la nueva direcci\u00f3n y la junta directiva.
