El primer reto es, sin duda, la necesidad de adaptar el dise\u00f1o y la gesti\u00f3n de los bosques plantados al cambio clim\u00e1tico actual, teniendo en cuenta el continuo aumento de los riesgos abi\u00f3ticos (sequ\u00edas, olas de calor, incendios forestales, tormentas) y bi\u00f3ticos (epidemias de insectos, enfermedades emergentes, invasiones biol\u00f3gicas). Pero otros retos igualmente importantes son hacer frente a la elevada fragmentaci\u00f3n de la propiedad forestal privada (16 millones de propietarios forestales en Europa), la incertidumbre de la demanda en el contexto de la actual crisis econ\u00f3mica agravada por la pandemia de COVID19 , la creaci\u00f3n de productos innovadores, as\u00ed como la optimizaci\u00f3n de la cadena de valor a\u00f1adido, y el papel cada vez m\u00e1s importante que est\u00e1 llamado a desempe\u00f1ar el sector forestal en la bioeconom\u00eda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">De hecho, el IEFC se enfrenta a varios retos para operar en un entorno en el que se ejerce una presi\u00f3n cada vez mayor sobre los bosques plantados en m\u00faltiples frentes como: alimentar la bioeconom\u00eda, mitigar el cambio clim\u00e1tico, adaptarse al cambio clim\u00e1tico, resistir a las plagas y enfermedades emergentes, apoyar a las organizaciones de prevenci\u00f3n de incendios y proporcionar servicios de regulaci\u00f3n como el carbono, el agua, a la vez que conservar y preservar el suelo y la biodiversidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#006633\"><strong><strong><strong>Convocatoria de candidaturas<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Este fondo est\u00e1 destinado a los miembros del IEFC para facilitar la cooperaci\u00f3n dentro de la red sobre cualquier tema en l\u00ednea con la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plantedforests.org\/es\/strategic-plan-2021-2026\/\">nueva estrategia del IEFC<\/a>.
